LONG PIRKKA 210 KM

You can view the Long Pirkka route in more detail via this link.
Route: Tampere – Kangasala – Valkeakoski – Akaa – Urjala – Punkalaidun – Vesilahti – Lempäälä – Pirkkala – Tampere.
In the Long Pirkka, it is possible to participate in average-speed groups where the pace is maintained with the help of designated ride leaders. The cycling club Kaupin Kanuunat acts as the leader of the groups, and each group has its own group leader. Four different average speeds are available: 36, 34, 32A, 32B, 30A, 30B, 28A and 28B (±1) km/h. Groups A and B are identical and start consecutively along the route.
Registration for the average-speed groups is done at the time of event registration. The maximum group size is 35 participants plus leaders. Any bicycle breakdowns must be handled independently; the group will not wait for stopped riders. All average-speed groups follow the same route. Joining an average-speed group along the way is prohibited. There is no difference between A and B groups—this division only serves to create smaller group sizes.
Riders in the Long Pirkka (210 km) will start from 7.20 onwards from the yard of the Tampere Exhibition and Sports Centre. The average-speed groups depart first, starting with the fastest. After them, riders without a specific target time start in groups of 30 cyclists, in numerical order.
There are six service points along the route:
24 km Liuksiala School
60 km Voipala Art Centre
101 km Urjala Comprehensive School
147 km Krääkkiö PVY community hall
172 km Vesilahti Market Square (church village and
191 km Säijä School / 191 km
At the Krääkkiö service point, participants in the Long Pirkka will be served a soup lunch. Hot soup will also be available at the finish.
At the starting area, cyclists will receive sports drink to fill their own bottles.
The finish at the Tampere Exhibition and Sports Centre closes at 20.00.
CLASSIC PIRKKA 134 KM

You can view the Klassikko route in more detail via this link.
Route: Tampere – Kangasala – Valkeakoski – Akaa – Vesilahti – Lempäälä – Pirkkala – Tampere.
When registering, participants choose a starting group according to their target time:
target time under 5 hours (starting time from 8.00)
target time under 6 hours (starting time from 8.25)
target time under 7 hours (starting time from 8.50)
no target time (starting time from 9.1)
We advise the fastest riders to register for the first starting group (target time under 5 hours).
A maximum of 500 riders will be accepted into the first three starting tiers.
There are five service points along the route:
24 km Liuksiala School
60 km Voipala Art Centre
80 km Akaa Arena
95 km Vesilahti Market Square (church village) and
114 km Säijä School.
At the starting area, sports drink will be distributed for participants to fill their own bottles, and soup will be served to participants at the finish.
The first starts of the Classic (134 km) are at 8.00.
In all starting tiers, riders are sent off in groups of 30 at one-minute intervals, and a pause is held between tiers before the next starting time begins. Starting during the pause is prohibited. By registering for a starting time group that matches your pace, you are more likely to find fellow riders maintaining a similar speed right from the start. This reduces the need for overtaking on the road and improves traffic safety.
Starts take place in numerical order; queue jumping with a larger number is prohibited. A rider with a smaller number may move back to join a rider with a larger number.
All starts will be completed by approximately 10.00.
The finish at the Tampere Exhibition and Sports Centre closes at 20.00.
SAND PIRKKA N. 150 KM

The Hiekka Pirkka route is approximately 150 kilometers long and will be cycled on Sunday 14.6., starting at 8.20. The route follows other Pirkan Pyöräily routes, looking for as much unpaved road surface as possible. Those who start the route must have a bike that can cycle on dirt roads.
The route deviates at two service points
56 km Voipaala Art Center
102 km Akaa Areena
There are no pre-designated average speed groups in Hiekka Pirkka and the route is not marked on the terrain. There will be traffic control along the route where the route intersects/meets a road route.

ADAPTED CYCLING 7–21 km
Adapted Cycling returns as one of the route options.
The start takes place after the Classic riders at approximately 10.00 on 14.6.2026.
The adapted cycling route runs near the event area, and it can be completed on various types of bikes, such as a hand bike or tricycle. The route is clearly marked, and participation is possible either independently or with an assistant.
There are several route options:
about 7 km
about 14 km
about 21 km (half marathon)
There is a service station along the route, which supports the endurance of the participants and makes cycling smoother.
After reaching the finish line, participants can stay in the event area to follow and encourage the cyclists in the main races, which increases the experience of the authentic atmosphere of a sporting event.
There will be a large number of participants and spectators in the event area on the same day. If the busy event environment seems challenging, you can participate in the family cycling event organized the day before, Saturday 13.6.2026, which offers a lower threshold for participation. In addition to cycling, family cycling also includes other meaningful activities in the event area.
The goal of adapted cycling is to provide an accessible and safe exercise experience for everyone. Cycling belongs to everyone, and we want to promote the opportunities for different types of cyclists to participate in sporting events.
Participants are encouraged to choose a route that suits them and to proceed at their own pace without pressure to perform. If necessary, the organizers can be contacted in advance so that special needs related to participation can be taken into account as best as possible.
