Start Procedure
Riders start in number order
In the starting groups, participants with higher numbers are not allowed to overtake those with lower numbers in the starting queue. However, participants with lower numbers can choose to stay behind in the queue, for example, to wait for a friend.
Arrive ~30 minutes before your start
Also allow time to pick up your number and move to the starting area and your designated place on the number board.

Actions at the start
Catch your number well in advance and be ready in time at the start area. The start is in the area in front of the main door of the Tampere Exhibition and Sports Centre.
At the start, you will line up in numerical order from the smallest to the largest number. The starting order for different distances and times is shown above.
The starting time for roller skaters will be specified later.
There will be staff at the start to instruct the starters in the correct numerical order and to prepare for their own start. When your own starting time approaches, be ready to take your place.
When the sign for your starting number appears in the starting line, line up behind it to wait for your turn to start.
If you want to start at the same time as a friend and your numbers are not consecutive, the smaller number can be canceled for the larger one (taking the lead with the larger number is not permitted).
